Commission: Old Maiden Aunt Yarns

A little while ago, Lilith of Old Maiden Aunt Yarns commissioned me to create some illustrations to accompany her "lang-legged beasties" collection of yarn colourways. As soon as I knew the subject matter - various creatures of Scottish folklore - I was excited!

The images made their debut as part of Lilith's 2011 yarn preview club, and three of the illustrations - based on a selkie, a ghillie dhu and a baobhan sith - are now available to buy from her shop, on handy little drawstring bags: take a look..! : [link]

As I expected from the start, this was a really enjoyable commission to do; I don't know much about knitting, but Lilith seems to be running a great business - the concepts behind her collections are great and her yarn always looks gorgeous. :)

More updates coming soon!
